PM Daily was “New York’s Highbrow Tabloid” - one of the most innovative papers of its day – started in 1940 by the legendary Ralph Ingersoll, the name actually stood for Photographic Material. Definitely left-of-center, it was profoundly anti-Hitler and featured many photos and high quality maps to make its point without much subtlety. It took no advertising and featured many human interest stories, especially of New York, and sharp sports writing. The newspaper ceased publication in 1948.
The paper is in tabloid format, with edge stapling. Condition – fairly brittle but good. Size 11.5” x 14”.
