The Crowntiques.com Batch Posting software is a Java application designed to work under Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT. A Macintosh version and/or a Java Applet version that runs in a standard web browser window are "in the works".

This is a free download, and you are welcome to try out and evaluate our software for as long as you like. However, in order to use the software to actually sell your items on eBay or Yahoo, you must register. Uploading batches of items is not possible until you have registered to obtain your user name and password.

1. Download the self-extracting ZIP archive file, client.exe (about 200KB). Save it to your Windows desktop and double-click on the icon to extract the client. If you are downloading a new version of the client to replace an existing version, just double click to run the self-extracting archive again, and it will replace the old versions of the client files with the updated versions automatically.

NOTE 1: Instead of updating the entire client, you can just download the new category data file, which contains the latest eBay categories (as of Friday, February 20, 2004 at 13:06:37 PM EST). Click here to download the new categories data file. (You might need to right-click on the link and choose "Save Target As..." or "Save Link As...") Just copy the resulting file you saved into your client directory, and you can begin using the latest eBay categories next time you run the client.

NOTE 2: You should close (quit) the client before upgrading it or replacing the category data file. This version of the client software was posted on Friday, November 16, 2001 at 10:22:04 AM EST. The only new change with this version is that it contains the most recent eBay categories.

Support for saving "backup" files (with filenames containing a timestamp) is included as with the previous version. The interface has been adjusted for better fit on an 800x600 display, and settings have been split into three tabbed panes instead of the previous two panes. This client also auto-saves more frequently than prior versions and includes other stability/reliability improvements.

You MUST finish and upload any batches you're currently working on before installing the new client!

2. You will also need to download and install the Java Runtime Environment (free download from Sun's Java website). A copy of the latest version can also be downloaded from our server: jre_1_2_2-001-win.exe. Just download the file and double click it to install Java support on your machine. (You only need to do this once for a machine; to download a new version of the client just download the new client.exe).

3. That's it! Just run the Crowntiques Java client by clicking its icon (example of icon here). At this time, the software must be located in a folder on your desktop, normally C:\Windows\Desktop\client.
